Additive Industries, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, reports it has sold a MetalFABG2 Additive Manufacturing machine to ADDDAM GmbH, a metal processing and production solutions supplier based in Brixen, Italy. The machine has been installed at ADDDAM’s Brixan facility, making it the first Italian customer for Additive Industries.

With the purchase of the MetalFABG2, a Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) Additive Manufacturing machine, ADDDAM aims to gain access to the die-casting industry and become a leading producer of complex aluminium parts for the automotive and machine engineering sectors.

The company will use Additive Manufacturing for the delivery of die-cast replacement parts and reportedly choose the MetalFABG2 due to its high level of automation, said to lower costs, increase competitiveness, and improve resilience to workforce changes.

Mathias Wiese, Chief Executive Officer at ADDDAM, stated, “We are very excited to partner with Additive Industries to move forward in our next step: accessing the die-casting industry. The MetalFABG2 printer will be a great new asset to accommodate us in this next stage.”

Mark Massey, Chief Executive Officer at Additive Industries, added, “We as Additive Industries are very happy to be able to provide ADDDAM with our MetalFABG2 printer to support them in their expansion towards the automotive and machine engineering industry.”
